Just for a moment - picture this :
You wake to a scrumptious breakfast at a cozy mountain inn and savor your coffee out on a porch with views
that photos could never do justice !
You and your group take a short ride to today's hike - and your guide leads the way on a glorious day in the
great outdoors, describing it's beauty and history.
You are light on your feet because you carry only a tiny day pack with some snacks and water.
The assistant guide in the rear of the group carries your trail lunch for you (in an insulated pack that carries
your chilled Cobb salad and a slice of local blackberry pie that you chose from the menu a month earlier ).
After lunch your back on the trail - but the time goes by so quickly it seems like no time at all before you
reach the end of today's hike.
Transportation is already there and waiting for you - and the gracious driver ushers you into a comfy vehicle that's
cooled / heated and offers you an iced bottle of water.
A short ride later - you arrive at a new inn for this evenings stay. It's a cozy little place full of antiques, on the
National Historic Register and smelling like fresh air and wildflowers.
You've already been checked in & your luggage is in your room waiting for you !
After freshening up your out on another great porch with a view - and ahh... sipping a glass of the local wine!
The dinner is all fresh local fare - and delicious !
Over dessert the staff mentions tomorrow morning's hike ... and the rest of the evening ... and glorious sunset are
yours to savor in your own time ...
