OUR                GUIDES

All Atlanta Adventurers trips have at least one guide participating in them that has training in Wilderness First Aid, has obtained a Professional CPR Certification, and is Certified in Leave No Trace Outdoors Ethics.  Most trips include a guide who is a 15 year veteran fireman and paramedic.

Since all Atlanta Adventurers guides have hiked extensively on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail - and one of them "thru-hiked" the entire 2,172 miles of the "AT" in 2003 - we are strong advocates of the trail, the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, the trail clubs that maintain it, the Georgia Appalachian Trail Club and the many volunteers whose combined efforts make this magical trail possible!

Our guides set the standard for friendly and supportive instruction.

We are a group of specialized guides that will NEVER put you out on the trail with just a vacationing college student to lead the way !  When you book a trip with us - you can enjoy the comfort and security of being with experienced experts ! 

Our guides love their jobs - and their enthusiasm is contagious !  We are not a group of gruff survivalists, but rather a group of well versed and well educated individuals with backgrounds in biology, history, search & rescue, local mountain culture, botany, counseling and more! 

We bring our iconic "can do" attitudes to your trips - backed up by our famous "how to" history !

Wherever we've been ... whether we've traversed fog so thick as to obscure the trail blaze only inches away, watched clever bears and field mice stealing new hiker's snacks, or watched in joy as yet another hiker has discovered the wonders of the wilderness ...
